What are apps?

Kotao is built around a modular architecture. Instead of unlocking every feature at once, you pick the apps your business actually needs. Apps are functional areas like Payments, Reservations, Contacts, Finance, or Human Resources.

Activate an app

  1. Click Marketplace in the sidebar
  2. Browse the available apps or use the search
  3. Click on an app to see details
  4. Click Install to activate it in your workspace

The app will appear in your sidebar and is ready to use right away.

Available apps

The following apps are currently available:

  • Payments (POS): Point-of-sale with card payments and receipt printing
  • Reservations: Table and resource management with online booking
  • Contacts: Customer and supplier management
  • Finance: Invoices, quotes, and bookkeeping
  • Human Resources (HR): Shift planning, time tracking, and employee management
  • Inventory: Stock management with purchasing
  • CMS: Manage content for your website
  • Messages: Team chat within your workspace
  • Files: Document management and cloud storage
  • Calendar: Coordinate appointments and events

Deactivate an app

If you no longer need an app, you can deactivate it under Settings > Apps. Your data is preserved and will be available again if you reactivate it later.
