Create an account and sign in

Sign up

Head to auth.kotao.com and click Sign up. You have three options:

• Enter your email and password
• Continue with Google
• Continue with Apple

If you sign up with email, you will receive a confirmation email. Click the link to verify your address.

Sign in

Go to auth.kotao.com and enter your credentials, or use one of the social login options. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you will be prompted for a code.

Forgot your password

On the sign-in page, click Forgot password. Enter your email address and you will receive a reset link. The link is valid for 30 minutes.

Set up two-factor authentication

We recommend enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account:

1. In the desktop app, go to Settings > Security
2. Click Enable two-factor authentication
3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator or 1Password)
4. Enter the 6-digit code to complete setup

From that point on, every sign-in will require both your password and a code from your authenticator app.

Use your account across devices

Your Kotao account works on all platforms with the same credentials:

• Desktop app (macOS, Windows, Linux)
• Mobile app (iOS, Android)
• Browser at app.workspaces.kotao.com

You can view and manage active sessions under Settings > Security > Active sessions. If something looks unfamiliar, you can revoke individual sessions from there.
